If you're looking for a 'true' 5 star experience in Havana, look for one of the better rooms at Hotel Saratoga if you want some historic elegance and at a junior suite or suite at Melia Cohiba in Vedado if you prefer a modern hotel that holds no surprises. 5 star hotels like Habana Libre and Hotel Nacional will seem like 4-4½ star hotels.
